Choosing between treatments
Which brow tattoo technique is right for me?
The right technique depends on your skin type, hair density, and the look you want. As a guide:
- Nano brows use an ultra-fine machine needle to draw individual hair-stroke lines. The result is the most realistic, ideal for normal to slightly dry skin and clients who want to mimic real brow hair.
- Microblading creates similar hair strokes by hand with a small blade. Beautiful results on the right skin, but tends to blur faster on oily or combination skin. We often recommend nano over microblading for that reason.
- Powder brows create a soft, makeup-look effect — pixelated shading rather than individual hairs. Best for those who already wear brow powder or pencil, and for oily skin types where hair-stroke techniques don't last.
- Combo brows fuse hair strokes at the front with powder shading through the body and tail. The most popular choice for clients who want definition and softness in one treatment.
- Ombré brows are a graduated version of powder — lighter at the front, deeper at the tail. A soft, polished look.
Every cosmetic tattoo appointment opens with a complimentary consultation. We map your facial proportions, talk through your skin type and prior work, and recommend the technique that will hold best and look most like you.
Should I get a lash lift or lash extensions?
Different needs, different commitments:
- Lash extensions add length and volume by attaching individual synthetic lashes to your natural ones. The most dramatic result. Requires infills every two to three weeks to maintain. Three styles: classic (one extension per natural lash), hybrid (mix of classic and volume) and volume (fans of multiple fine lashes per natural lash).
- Keratin lash lift curls your own natural lashes upward and sets the shape for six to eight weeks. No daily maintenance. A softer, lower-commitment look.
- Korean lash lift a gentler variation using a lower-strength solution, designed for finer or more delicate lash hair. Result is a softer curl that respects the lash structure.
If you wake up wanting your eyes to look immediately done, extensions. If you prefer the look of your own lashes lifted and tinted, a lift.
How long do results last?
By treatment:
- Cosmetic tattoo brows: 12 to 24 months on average, longer with annual colour boosts. A perfecting session is included at six to eight weeks after your first appointment.
- Lip blush: 18 to 36 months. A perfecting session at six to eight weeks is included.
- Soft eyeliner: 12 to 24 months.
- Lash extensions: infills every two to three weeks.
- Keratin or Korean lash lift: six to eight weeks.
- Brow lamination: six to eight weeks.
- Ultraceuticals facials: protocol-dependent. Most clients see best results with a course of four to six treatments two weeks apart, then monthly maintenance.
- Ulfit HIFU: results develop over six to twelve weeks as collagen rebuilds, lasting twelve to eighteen months. A single annual treatment maintains the result for most clients.
Before your appointment
Before cosmetic tattoo (brows, lips, eyeliner)
- Avoid retinol, AHA/BHA and vitamin C on the area for two weeks prior.
- No alcohol or caffeine for 24 hours before — both thin the blood and affect colour retention.
- No blood thinners or aspirin for 48 hours prior (only if medically safe to pause — check with your GP).
- No sun exposure or tanning for two weeks prior.
- Avoid waxing, tinting, threading or chemical peels on the area for two weeks.
- For lip blush: come with well-hydrated lips. Use a gentle lip scrub and balm for the week prior.
Lash extensions
- Arrive with clean lashes, no mascara, no oil-based products.
- Avoid caffeine for 24 hours where possible — twitching eyes make placement harder.
- Allow two hours for a full set, one hour for an infill.
Lash lift
- No mascara or eye makeup on the day.
- Skip oil-based skincare or cleansers around the eye area for 24 hours prior.
Ultraceuticals facials and peels
- Avoid retinol, AHA/BHA, vitamin C and exfoliants for three to seven days prior (we'll specify based on the protocol).
- No sun exposure or tanning for one week prior.
- Arrive with no makeup if possible.
Ulfit HIFU
- Avoid active skincare (retinol, AHA/BHA) for 48 hours prior.
- Skip Botox or filler in the treatment area for two weeks prior.
- No sun exposure for one week prior. Bring SPF 50 to apply after.
Aftercare
Cosmetic tattoo brows
Detailed instructions are issued at your appointment. As a summary:
- Days 1 to 3: Gently blot with the supplied cleansing solution as directed. Apply the aftercare balm sparingly twice a day. The colour will appear darker than the final result.
- Days 4 to 7: Light flaking and scabbing is normal. Do not pick, scratch or rub the area. Keep the brows dry where possible.
- Days 8 to 14: Colour may appear lighter or patchy. This is part of the healing cycle.
- Weeks 4 to 6: Colour returns and settles. Your perfecting session is scheduled in this window.
- Avoid sun exposure, swimming, saunas, exercise that causes heavy sweating, retinol and active skincare on the area, and makeup over the treated area, until the area is fully healed (4 weeks).
Lip blush
- Days 1 to 3: Lips will feel tight, swollen and look darker. Apply the supplied healing balm regularly. Drink with a straw.
- Days 4 to 7: Flaking begins. Do not pick. Keep lips moisturised.
- Weeks 2 to 4: Colour appears very light. It will rebuild. Most clients see 30 to 50 per cent of the colour during this phase.
- Weeks 6 to 8: Final colour appears. Perfecting session scheduled here.
- No spicy food, alcohol, hot drinks or kissing for the first week. No exfoliants on the lips.
Soft eyeliner
- Avoid eye makeup, mascara and lash serums for two weeks.
- No swimming, saunas or sweating for one week.
- Do not pick the flakes. They will shed naturally between days four and ten.

- No water, steam or sweat for the first 24 hours.
- Brush the lashes daily with the supplied spoolie. Sleep on your back where possible.
- Cleanse with a foam lash cleanser every two to three days.
- Avoid oil-based products around the eyes. Oil dissolves the bond.
- No mechanical lash curlers. Do not pick or pull.
Lash lift
- Keep the lashes dry for 24 hours.
- No mascara for 24 hours.
- Apply the supplied lash serum every evening to maintain the lift.
Brow lamination

- Apply SPF 50 daily for the next two weeks. Strict sun avoidance for the first week after a peel.
- Use only the products in your prescribed at-home protocol during the recovery window.
- Expect light flaking from day three to day seven after a peel. Do not pick.
Ulfit HIFU
- Skin may feel tender and slightly red for 24 to 48 hours. Light bruising or swelling is possible and resolves within a week.
- Apply the supplied recovery serum and SPF 50 daily.
- Avoid hot showers, saunas, intense exercise and active skincare for 48 hours.
- Full results develop over 8 to 12 weeks as collagen remodels. Do not expect immediate change.
